New Items

Move-up awards ceremony for high school will be held in the auditorium on Thursday, May 30 starting at 9am. Mass Dress is required.

ALL: Road work will be in progress from May 20 through June 6 on the following streets: C Street, Lowell, Williams (all between Henderson and Grotto); temporary lane closures will occur on Henderson, Lowell and Grotto.

All school bbq will be held this Thursday, May 23. 


On Thursday, May 23rd, we will be celebrating the end of the school year with an all-school BBQ!  At lunch, there will be a hot dog barbeque with chips, drinks, fruit and desserts.  In order to make this day a success, we need parent help! 
          
Each class should bring:
Preschool -  chips                                 
Kindergarten through 3rd grades - hot dogs 
4th through 6th grades - hot dog buns   
7th and 8th grades - drinks
Freshman - chips
Sophomore - fruit
Junior - dessert
Senior - dessert  

We also need a few parent volunteers who would be willing to help BBQ and prepare food.  Please return the bottom portion of this form if you are able to help.

We look forward to a great end-of-the-year BBQ with your amazing children!

International Seniors: please pick up an I-20 transfer form in the college counseling office.

HS: Youth conservation corps applications are now available in the college counseling office for those who wish to intern with the State Parks this summer.


Elementary

All: there will not be after-school daycare the last week of school.

Basketball Jones will hold camp this summer in July and August. Visit their website for more information.  www.basketballjonescamps.com.

8th-12th: Beginning May 7th there will be volleyball open gym 6-8.  All 8th grades through high school  are welcome.

ALL: the sophomore class is selling crusader license plates. $3 each or 2 for $5. You can buy them in the office or from any sophomore class officer.

Seniors: The Charlie Swanson scholarship application is available in the college counseling office. They are due in the office by May 22.

Seniors: The Latin American club scholarship is open to all graduating seniors going on to either a 2 or 4-year college.  Applications are in the college counseling office and are due by May 20.


JH/HS:  Girls Basketball open gym every Monday after school.

Junior and Senior Athletes: Please see Coach White or Ms. Pretzel about the NCAA Clearinghouse. 

Parents: the Spirit Store is in need of a volunteer to work Tuesday lunches for next year.  Please call Jean Legaz at 672-2426 for more information.

Crusader Discount Cards are now for sale. New vendors this year include Rita’s and Los Bagels. Cards are being sold by the Softball and Baseball players and funds benefit both the softball and baseball programs. Catch up with your favorite softball or baseball player to purchase.

Attention Renner card holders, did you know you can pay your Renner bill in the HS office, and the school earns 2.5%? Just make your checks out to SBCS and turn it in at the office along with your bill stub. We send Renner a check minus our percentage and earn money for our school. Haven't got a Renner card? Applications are in the HS office. Thanks for your support. Please turn in the bills by the 19th of each month.

All school events, meetings, and fundraisers must have proper forms filled out and signed by the appropriate departments. Activity forms are available in the front office.

HS: All students who wish to run for class or ASB office your packets were due last week. Please turn them in today!  Speeches start this week.

AP Exams for the week: Biology--Monday, 8am; US History--Wednesday 8am; Econ--Thursday 8am; World History--Thursday 8am.

ALL: May Crowning will be held this Friday at St. Bernard Church (downtown). Everyone is to bring a flower for Mary. Parents: drop off student by 815 at the Church. Permission slips are being sent home.

SENIORS – Your Safe and Sober registration and guest fee are due Wednesday May 15. You can turn your paper and fee into the office. Registration will not be accepted the night of the event. Any questions contact Shari Borges at 707-496-9097.

Financial Aid for 2013-14
Parents: the financial aid deadline for returning students is Wednesday May 15th.  In order to apply for financial aid for next school year, please go to factstuitionaid.com and click "Applicant Sign In."  This new online process is replacing our old paper application.  If you have any questions, please contact Shirley Sobol or David Sharp.

Come support the Class of 2013 Safe & Sober at Applebee’s on May 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. 15% of the sales will go to Safe and Sober. Vouchers will be available in the office on May 1, 2013, and will also be provided to the seniors for distribution. Bring your family and friends and have an enjoyable evening.
